Meetings
Our default is public, written communication (see Communication), but certain discussions require a more personal touch. When we meet, we respect everyone’s time and attention:
- The right participants. Invite only the people the meeting needs, and share the outcome with everyone else.
- A clear agenda. Every meeting has one, shared in advance. Agendas for meetings with several people usually live in Fellow.
- Preparation. Read the agenda and add your points before the meeting starts.
- Recorded outcomes. We record or summarize what was decided, so we can reference and learn from past discussions.
The same rules apply to your 1:1s with your manager: Your manager explains how to build and follow up on a 1:1 agenda. Company-wide meetings, like the monthly all-hands, are described in Communication.
