During the third module, you will start working full-time on your assigned project, and you will be expected to start contributing on a more significant basis.
Module curriculum
At the beginning of the module, you and your manager will review the competency matrix for the Associate Software Engineer position. This should serve as your north star for the skills and traits to practice during the module.
If you have any doubts about how to practice/demonstrate a certain skill, your manager will provide whatever material and opportunities needed to set you up for success.
You are encouraged to use your Investment Time to go through any extra study material.
Evaluation
At the end of the four weeks, you will be evaluated using the competency matrix for the Associate Software Engineer position.
You will need to be completely aligned with the expectations for an Associate SE in order to successfully graduate from the apprenticeship. If you don’t meet the expectations, your EM may decide to extend your apprenticeship by an additional four weeks.
You can refer to the Competency matrix page on our Playbook for more information on how to use the matrix to start and complete an evaluation.
