Project spotlights

Watch the videos, learn from your colleagues, and share your own experiences to help your team succeed.

What

The Project Spotlight initiative encourages cross-team contamination, allowing everyone to share their experience working for a specific client with the rest of the company.
Listening to others’ successes, failures, and challenges will help us grow personally and increase shared knowledge.

Spoiler alert: you'll discover that others' challenges are similar to yours!

Why

Being deeply involved in a project’s scope doesn’t help us to perceive ourselves as part of one unique company.
Solving problems and finding suitable solutions is part of our day-by-day job, and by empowering cross-team knowledge sharing, we can learn from each other and gain insight into the challenges we might face in the future.
In addition to that, this is also an excellent chance to train our communication skills in a protected environment, so it’s an opportunity you shouldn’t miss!

How

Every month a different team will be selected and, supervised by the engineering manager, the members will decide what could be an interesting experience to share.
At that point, someone from the team will prepare a short presentation composed of a few slides (remember to use the Nebulab  template ) and a brief explanation, at most 5-10 minutes long.

The spotlight has to be recorded using Slack (or other screen recording tool of your choice) and it will be shared with the rest of the company with a post on the #announcement channel.
All recorded videos will stay accessible at the bottom of this page, making it easy for anyone to watch them anytime and learn.

After you've done recording it, make sure you add it to  Project Spotlights .
