Remote-First Culture

Hardware and Software

We provide everything you need to get the best work done. We wouldn't want hardware or software to slow you down so we regularly review our hw and sw benefits to make sure you're always enabled to do your best!
The best part of this is that everything we provide is approved for mixed use! Feel free to use your laptop to also play video games, produce lofi music or collect cat pictures!

Hire kit

On joining Nebulab, you'll receive a top-of-the-line hardware kit, including a MacBook Pro, keyboard, mouse, headphones, webcam, and monitor. This kit is essential for creating an optimal remote working environment and is updated regularly.
All new team members receive a hardware hire kit that includes:
a shiny new MacBook Pro which is upgraded regularly
an  Apple Magic Keyboard  or a Logitech keyboard of choice
a pair of  Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700  Sony WH-1000XM4  or equivalent ANC Bluetooth headphones
 Logitech C920S  HD webcam
an  LG 27UP850-W screen  (IPS, 27", 4K, USB-C)
a swag bag with lots more goodies inside!

Software Budget

You'll have a €150/year budget for any software that will enhance your work. This could range from productivity tools to specialized software, ensuring you have everything you need to succeed in your role.

Remote Working Bonus

Upgrade your home office setup with a €300 budget. This can cover anything from Wi-Fi extenders to office furniture, ensuring your workspace is both comfortable and conducive to productivity. For any purchases beyond this budget, reach out to  Andrea  for guidance.
In case you need something which exceeds the RWB, we will front any reasonable expense and you will transfer back the excess within 30 days.

Apple Products at Small Discount

Take advantage of our partnership with Med Store for discounted Apple products. Whether for personal or family use, you can access these special rates and coordinate purchases through  Andrea .

Personal and Professional Development

Investment Time

Invest in yourself with 10% of your work hours (~165 hours/year) reserved for personal and professional development.
The investment time can equally be interpreted as a time to grow professionally (i.e. attending conferences, working on OSS software, helping a teammate on a project) as well as additional time off for the times you just need to leave the office behind and relax with a good old walk in the park. It's up to you to decide what you make of it!

Learning Budget

We'll reimburse any industry-related books, workshops and courses, subject to your manager's approval. Whatever you need to keep learning!

Conference Budget

We provide a yearly conference budget that you can use to attend any conference you might find interesting.

You can use up to 4 work days and €400/$500 for tickets. If you want to get an extra-budget approved, please discuss this with your manager.

There are a couple of exceptions to this rule:
If you're in the marketing team for a conference and going there as a Nebulab representative, the conference won't be deducted from your budget.
In general, speaking engagements also count towards your budget (unless the conference offers a reimbursement for their speakers). However, if you have been invited to speak at a conference that is particularly interesting to Nebulab, reach out to your manager and they may be able to work something out.

English Budget

Enhance your English proficiency with lessons and tests, fully reimbursed by Nebulab.
Using platforms like  Italki  is recommended. To test your skills we also provide tests on  The English Quiz .
Stay ahead in your field with a dedicated budget for conferences and learning activities. This budget supports your continuous learning journey, keeping you updated with the latest trends and practices in your area of expertise.

Generous PTO

Everyone at Nebulab should work at a healthy, sustainable pace and take time off to mentally disconnect from work and recharge.

In total all teammates get up to 35 days of PTO (paid time off) per year. 22 days of regular PTO and up to 104 hours per year (depending on their tenure) for  schedule flexibility . This allows you to come in a little late, leave a little earlier or take a few hours off every now and then. You can use it to just take full days off too.

In addition to that all teammates get 12 days for national holidays and additional permits for sick leave and special paid leave.

Refer a Candidate

Play a direct role in Nebulab’s growth by referring candidates. You can refer a canditate bu reaching out to  Matteo Latini . Whenever you refer a candidate you get:
$2000 when a referred candidate completes 3 months in the company working as a full-time employee (part-time% for part-time teammates)
150$ for a candidate who will be moved to the Aptitude test from the Initial screen step
Bonuses are alternatives, so if the candidate will complete the probation period you’ll get 2000$ but not the 150$ prize.
